Reservations on RentalReady can be cancelled, but the process changes according to the platform the guest used to book the original reservation.
N.B: If a reservation is cancelled during the guest's stay or on the day of arrival, the cleaning, check-in and check-out missions associated with the reservation will not be cancelled. You will receive an alert on Slack in the #ops channel
Direct booking
In the case the reservation is a direct booking (you created the reservation manually, or the guest booked via your direct booking website), the process is the following:
- In the reservation details page, click on Actions > Cancel reservation
- Fill the form and click on confirm cancellation to cancel the reservation
The reservation will be cancelled and the dates will be available again on reservation platforms within a few seconds.
No cancellation penalty is applied to the property manager or owner.
If you want, you can refund the guest for the nights not spent at the property directly from RentalReady - only for payment subscriber. Check the associated article for refund conditions.
OTAs
If the guest has booked their stay via an OTA, the cancellation process is the following:
Airbnb and Booking.com
The reservation cancellation must be done through the platform's extranet.

Once reservation cancellation is confirmed on platform's extranet, the reservation will be cancelled and the dates will be available again on reservation platforms within a few minutes.
N.B: If the cancelled reservation was taken on a listing that is no longer synchronized with RentalReady, the reservation will not be automatically cancelled in the system. Contact RentalReady support to the reservation within RentalReady.
VRBO
You can cancel it from RentalReady. The process is the following:
- In the reservation details page, click on Actions > Cancel reservation
- Fill the form and click on confirm cancellation to cancel the reservation
The reservation will be cancelled and the dates will be available again on reservation platforms within a few seconds.
No cancellation penalty is applied to the property manager or owner.

N.B. : All reservations cancelled more than 42 days before guest arrival are automatically refunded by RentalReady.
