Depending on property booking settings, a guest can send a booking request instead of instant booking.
Booking requests can also be called inquiries or pre-approvals.
All booking requests are received in the unified mailbox, under the Pre-Approvals tab.
Accepting or declining booking requests varies depending on the platform through which the guest submitted their inquiry.
Airbnb
Booking requests from Airbnb have a validity of 24h.
Accept
You can choose to:
- accept: it will automatically create a reservation
- send a special offer: it will open a pop-up for you to enter the total price of the special offer. Please take note that the total price must include every fee or tax. After you click on send special offer, guest will have accept or decline it
Decline
You cannot decline a booking request from RentalReady.
If you wish to decline, you can choose to:
- wait the validity of the request to expire
- decline from the Airbnb account extranet
Vrbo
There are two types of pre-approval messages from Vrbo
Enquiry
It's just a message from the guest, there is no accepting or declining option, just reply to the guest as usual
Booking request
You can choose to:
- accept: it will automatically create a reservation. In this case, you will have to create a payment link with the total amount of the reservation for the guest to pay, as this is not done automatically.
- decline: it will decline the request
Direct booking website and Book.GuestReady.com
There is no button to accept or decline the booking request. If you want to:
- accept: you just need to send to the guest the payment link that shows on the reservation section. Once the guest has proceed to payment, it will automatically create a reservation
