Overview
The check-in of a property can be set up according to the following methods:
- Always: the property is always considered self check-in by the system
- Possible : do not use
- Forbidden : the property does not allow self check-ins. The system assumes that a person physically welcomes the traveler upon arrival and hands over the keys
To ensure RentalReady sends the correct arrival instructions to travelers, please make sure to activate all the settings below so that the in-person check-in option is configured for the property.
Create Your Check-In Agent
For in-person check-in, you will first need to create the profile of the agent who will welcome the travelers.
To do this, you can create an agent in the usual way (refer to this article), and assign “check-in” in Mission Types
Set Up a Property for In-Person Check-In
From the property page, click Edit Property > General
- Select the “forbidden” option in the self check-in section.
Then, from the property page, click Edit Property > Missions > Check-In Missions
Select the agent created previously as the default check-in agent.
Note: If you want the instructions for in-person check-in to be sent to travelers, make sure to create the traveler notification template “CHECKIN”
This template is automatically sent by RentalReady only if these 3 conditions are met:
- the property is set to self check-in “forbidden”
- A check-in agent is assigned to the check-in mission
- the traveler's arrival time is provided
Track Check-In Missions
You can then track check-in missions by going to Missions > Weekly Mission View > select the mission type
