Only if you have subscribed to the RentalReady payment system or if your Stripe account is connected to your RentalReady account
A top-up is a payment link generated by RentalReady.
The top-up link is paid by the owner in order to reset to zero when the owner's virtual bank account balance is negative and there are no future reservations.
The top-up is used when there are pending payout adjustments, before a property deactivation or if the property has no future reservations for several weeks/months.
Create a top-up link
There are two ways to create a top-up link:
- from the owner page: in the payout adjustments section
- from the top-up page: from the main menu, go to Finance > Top-ups
Click on the create a new Top-Up button and fill in the form:
- Select the owner, if not already filled in
- Add amount, if not already filled in, or if you wish to edit the amount
- Add an internal comment. This comment is only visible to staff users with access to the top-up link
Once you have completed the form, click on create top-up link to validate the creation.
N.B. : it's also possible to let the owner create the top-up link from its RentalReady owner space. If you want to give this permission to you owners, please contact RentalReady support team and ask this option to be activated.
Top-up links management
You can find all the top-ups you've created from the top-ups page.
From the main menu, go to Finance > Top-ups
You can refine your search by applying the filters at the top of the page.
As soon as a top-up link is created and pending, a banner appears on owner space.
He/she can then pay directly from here
Send a top-up link
A top-up link is not automatically sent to the owner.
To send it manually to the owner, you can copy and paste the link displayed from the main menu, in Finance > Top-ups, then search for the owner concerned, in the last Action column, click on ... > Link to Top-Up
Top-up statuses
| Status | Signification |
| Processed | The top-up has been paid |
| Pending | The top-up has not been paid |
| Failed | The payment failed |
| Voided | The top-up has been voided |
Void a top-up
Once the top-up link is created, it cannot be edited or deleted.
But you can void it:
Click on ... in the Actions column to display all available actions:
- Go to the top-up link
- Void: it will cancel the top-up link
- History: you will find the history of the top-up (date, time and staff user at the origin of each modification)
A top-up link is automatically voided by the system:
- after 3 months in pending status
- after 1 hour once owner balance is superior or equal to 0
