If you don't yet have a VRBO partner account, or if it's not yet connected to RentalReady, you can do so with the help of this article: Creating a VRBO account
Once your VRBO account has been created and connected, make sure you follow the steps below.
Step 1. Create VRBO listing
From the main menu, go to Portfolio > Properties
Click on Connect new listing
Select Vrbo and click Continue
Click on Continue
Select the RentalReady property by its ID (e.g. 75429) and the VRBO account by the associated email address, then click on Continue
N.B.: if the email address does not appear in the drop-down menu, then RentalReady has not confirmed the connection with your VRBO account.
Select the type of synchronization and click on submit to create the listing.
The new VRBO listing is created on the VRBO account!
Step 2. Check for errors
On RentalReady
From the main menu, go to Portfolio > Properties > Listing synchronisation
Search for the property for which you have just created the VRBO listing
You can refine your search using the filters at the top of the page.
In the ID column, click on the VRBO platform button.
If no error is notified by RentalReady, you can proceed to step 3.
If an error prevents the listing from being published, correct the error on the platform.
Once all errors have been corrected, click on mark errors as fixed.
💡Tips
Please ensure that the property description on RentalReady matches the VRBO criterias. In the local language:
- the title must be at least 20 characters long
- space must be at least 400 characters long
Step 3. Put listing live
From the main menu, go to Portfolio > Properties > Listing synchronisation
Search for the property for which you have just created the VRBO listing.
You can refine your search using the filters at the top of the page.
In the ID column, click on the button corresponding to the VRBO platform.
Click on the Make listing available button to publish the listing.
Your listing is online and being created. It will be online within 24 to 48 hours on VRBO.
N.B.: if you have just created a listing for a property that is currently being onboarded, remember to activate the property on RentalReady to synchronize prices and availability.
