How to set custom minimum stay
The minimum stay set by the pricing algorithm can be manually overridden and replaced with a different value.
- In the property's calendar page, select the date(s) for whom you want to edit the minimum stay
- In the pop-up window, click on the update booking rules tab
- Select the option custom minstay, then fill in the desired value in the blank field
- Click on update to save the changes
The minimum stay calculated by the pricing algorithm will be replaced by the new custom value.
Cancel the custom minimum stay
In order to cancel a custom minimum stay applied on a certain date, follow the same process as above, then:
- In the update the price tab, select the option 'Property Manager' intelligent minstay
- Click on update to save the changes
The custom minimum stay will be deleted and replaced by the original value calculated by the pricing algorithm.
Minimum stay compression
The minimum stay compression option let the guest book a stay with duration shorter than the minimum stay setup on calendar but he will have to pay the full price of minstay duration.
Example: if the minimum stay is set for three nights on calendar and if the option is activated, the guest will be able to book a stay of one or two nights duration but he will have to pay the price of three nights.
Minstay workflow
The minimum stay is considered across the entire stay, which means the minimum stay requirement must be met for each day included in the reservation.
Example:
If you want the minimum stay on 12/31 (New Year’s Eve) to be 3 nights:
On December 30th, if the minimum stay is set to 2 nights, the guest should not be able to book from 12/30 to 01/01, because on 12/31 you strictly require a 3-night stay.
So, if the minimum stay on 12/31 is 3 nights:
