In this article, you will understand the flow of prices: from setting up your pricing, through the price displayed on platforms, to the owner's earnings.

What you see in RentalReady

This is the setup of the pricing.

Step 1 — The Base Price

This is your daily price (price per night). All pricing calculations are based on this.

Step 2 — Pricing Tools

Pricing tools are applied to the base price to adjust the daily price:

• Factors from the pricing algorithm (Note: if you use Beyond Pricing or Pricelabs, they will override the prices)

• The mid-term pricing

Step 3 — Price Markup

The markup is applied on top of the daily price calculated by the pricing tools. The final price is not displayed on the RentalReady calendar but is sent to the booking platforms.

Step 4 — Fees

These can be cleaning fees or additional fees added to the daily price.

Note: The daily price and fees are two separate lines. Fees are not included “within” the daily price.

Thus, we arrive at these final amounts that RentalReady sends to the booking platforms:

What the traveler sees on the booking platforms

The traveler sees the final daily price as well as fees and taxes.

• Daily price: platforms display a total price including fees if any

• Taxes: corresponds to the tourist tax

Note: if you apply a promotion, this will directly affect the price displayed on platforms, where the original price is crossed out and replaced by the promotional price.

What the owner receives

Platform fees vary depending on the platform, country, and property type.

In this example, a 14% platform fee is assumed.

*The commission is calculated for a property manager taking their commission excluding cleaning fees, i.e., the price at step 3.

** In this example, the cleaning fees charged to travelers are passed on to the property manager for payment of cleaning teams.
