You have two options to make the guest pay an extra price per additional person. You can configure it as a:
- same amount for each extra guests
- different amount for each extra guests (3rd person pays X, 4th person pays Y)
The extra price is a fixed amount and is per person/per night.
Step 1. Set the number of guests
Set up the minimum and maximum number of guests, as this will be base where the extra price per person will apply.
On the property page, click on Edit
Go to General tab > Property information section
The daily rate will be based on the number of people added on this field:
And here you select the maximum number of guests allowed:
Its based on this configuration that the extra person fee will apply to. In this example, the extra price per person will apply to the 2nd, 3rd and 4rd guest.
Step 2. Set the price
Here you have to choose if you want to set the same or a different price for each extra guest.
Same amount per extra guest
On the property page, click on Edit
Go to Price tab > Pricing section
The daily rate will be based on the number of people added in step 1.
Here you will select the fixed amount price to apply to any extra person on the reservation:
Click on Save and its done!
Different amount per extra guest
On the property page, click on Options > Pricing Settings
Go to Rate Rules tab and click on Create new rate rule
- Select the rate rule type Additional person fixed per night
- Add the amount that the guest will have to pay extra and the occupancy number. For example, if your number of guest allowed is 1 person, you must add 1 here to apply the extra price for the 2nd person
- Select if the rule must always be applied. Otherwise, configure the period to apply the rule
Click on Save
Then, create another rule as many times as your maximum number of guests allowed on the property but make sure to change the occupancy greater than number each time.
For example, if your number of guest allowed is 1 person and maximum number of guest allowed is 3, that you already created a rule for 2nd person, you must add 2 here to apply the extra price for the 3rd person.
Click on save and it's done!
