There are several notions of cleaning fees in RentalReady:
- cleaning fees charged to guests
- cleaning fees charged to owners
- cleaning fees earned by agents
Cleaning fees charged to guests
Cleaning fees paid by guests are the fees charged to guests on reservations platforms. This is the amount the guest pays when making a reservation.
They are considered as cleaning income in the financial details of a reservation.
Setting up cleaning fees
From the property page, click on Edit Property
Go to the Platforms tab, then to the Reservation parameters section
Add the amount of cleaning fees charged to guests on the platforms. The value is expressed in the currency of the office, including VAT.
N.B. : Please note that this amount will be synchronized on the reservation platforms.
Click on save
Invoicing conditions
As a general rule, cleaning fees are always charged to the owner.
You should set this to charged to the guest only if you wish to be invoiced differently for cleaning fees. In this case, the cleaning fees will no longer appear on the owner's invoice or on the guest's receipt. A separate invoice for cleaning fees only will be issued for each reservation.
Cleaning fees charged to owners
Owners may be charged for cleaning fees in two different situations:
- for classic reservations
- for owner reservations
Cleaning fees for classic reservations
A “classic” reservation is a guest reservation.
The cleaning fees charged to the owner are the fees charged to the owner by the property manager for a guest reservation. This is the amount that the property manager collects for each guest reservation.
As such, they interact with the cleaning fees charged to guests (seen above).
They are considered as cleaning fees in the financial details of a reservation.
Setting up cleaning fees
From the property page, click on Edit Property
Go to the Platforms tab, then to the Reservation parameters section
Add the amount of the cleaning fees charged to the owner. The value is expressed with VAT, in the currency of the office.

Interaction between cleaning fees charged to guests and owners
Generally speaking, the two added values in the cleaning fees charged to guests and the cleaning fees charged to owners are identical to arrive at a neutral operation.
The owner is charged the exact amount that the guest was charged.
However, it can happen that the amounts differ. Here are a few examples:
- If the platform's cleaning fee and the owner's cleaning fee are €100:
- The guest pays €100, the property manager receives €100, and the owner receives nothing (neutral operation).
- If the platform's cleaning fee is €100 and the cleaning fee charged to the owner is €0:
- The guest pays €100, the property manager receives €0, and the owner receives €100.
- If the platform's cleaning fee is €0 and the cleaning fee charged to the owner is €100:
- The guest pays €0, the property manager receives €100, and the owner receives €100 less in net income.
- If the platform's cleaning fee is €100 and the cleaning fee charged to the owner is €50:
- The guest pays €100, the property manager receives €50, and the owner receives €50 more from his net income.
- If the platform's cleaning fee is €100 and the cleaning fee charged to the owner is €150:
- The guest pays €100, the property manager receives €150, and the owner receives €50 less on his net income.
Cleaning fees for owner reservation
An “owner” reservation is a reservation that corresponds to an owner block (also known as an “owner return”). This corresponds to gray reservation when the property manager or owner blocks the calendar.
It is possible to set cleaning fees that you wish to charge the owner for this type of reservation.
Set up cleaning fees
From the property page, click on Edit Property
Go to the Platforms tab, then to the Reservation parameters section
Click on the + button
Add the amount of cleaning fees (the value is expressed excluding VAT) you wish to charge the owner for the different conditions, if necessary:
- Cleaning without laundry / delivery in the event of a cleaning mission with owner laundry on owner's return and only laundry delivery on owner's departure
- Cleaning without laundry / cleaning with laundry in the case of a cleaning mission with owner's laundry on owner's return and property manager's laundry on owner's departure
- Cleaning with laundry / cleaning with laundry in case of cleaning mission with laundry property manager on owner's return and laundry property manager on owner's departure
- Cleaning with laundry / Cleaning without laundry in case of cleaning mission
- Cleaning with laundry / delivery in the event of a cleaning mission with laundry from the property manager on the owner's return and only delivery of laundry on the owner's departure.
- Cleaning with laundry / no cleaning in case of cleaning mission with laundry property manager on owner's return and no cleaning mission on owner's departure (this must always be settled at 0€)

Applying cleaning fees
The amount of the cleaning fee charged to the owner for an owner reservation is displayed when the property manager or owner blocks the calendar.
N.B. : The amount depends on the options selected when blocking the calendar. The options change according to the permissions granted to the owner.
For each owner reservation, a payout adjustment is automatically created by the system in accordance with the cleaning fees set on the property and the options chosen when blocking the calendar.
N.B. : If you have subscribed to the RentalReady payment system, the owner will automatically be charged for the cleaning fees. If not, this information will only be used to invoice the owner for the cleaning fees.
Cleaning fees earned by agents
It is possible to define the price of missions that the agent is expected to earn for each mission performed.
