Overview
In some regions, city tax is not collected by reservations platforms.
In these cases, it is possible to automate the collection of city tax from RentalReady.
You can automate the creation of a payment link for the payment of city tax, and automate the sending of the link to the guest.
Create a rule
Create a rule automates the creation of a payment link for each reservation imported into RentalReady, according to the conditions selected in the creation form.
From the main menu, go to Finance > Payments links > Creation rules
Click on Create a new rule
Fill in the form:
- Select the City tax category
- Select the office on which to apply the rule
- Select the reservation platform for which to apply the rule
- Select the payment gateway. This must correspond to the payment gateway used by the platform.
Click Save to create the rule.
N.B: For the payment link to be generated with the amount corresponding to the reservation, please ensure that you have correctly set up your city tax calculations and properties.
Send payment link
Send manually
To send the payment link manually to the guest, you can copy and paste the link that appears
- from the reservation page: in the finance and payment links section, click on the link
- from the payment links page: from the main menu, go to Finance > Payment links, search for the relevant reservation, in the last Action column, click on ... > Link to payment link
Automatic sending
To automate the sending of the payment link to the guest, please contact RentalReady support.
Once the SEND_CITY_TAX_PAYMENT_LINK guest notification has been set up, you will see the template on your RentalReady interface and will be able to modify the text.
