When your guest space is activated, you can offer upsell options to your guests. This feature is available for all guest spaces (with or without direct booking website by RentalReady).
You have to create rules for each upsell type, which will be associated to your offices, and then applied to your properties.
Configure the templates
From the main menu, go to Reservations > Upsells, then open the Rules tab
Click + Create new > Select early check-in or late check-out
Fill the form:
- Choose the price setting:
- Custom price: a fixed price is shown to the guest. You can set one or more fixed amounts depending on how early the guest can arrive (before the minimum check-in time).
- Pricing on request: no price is shown to the guest. In this case, you only need to set from what time the guest can arrive (before the minimum check-in time).
- Add a cleaning buffer time (expressed in minutes) to add extra time between the cleaning mission finish and the next arrival. Examples:
- Early check-in: If the standard check-in time is 3:00 PM, the previous guest checks out at 11:00 AM, the cleaning duration is 2 hours, and the buffer time is 30 minutes, the earliest possible early check-in will be 1:30 PM.
- Late check-out: If the standard check-out time is 11:00 AM, the next guest arrives at 3:00 PM, the cleaning duration is 1.5 hours, and the buffer time is 30 minutes, the latest possible late check-out will be 1:00 PM.
- Select the approval type:
- manual: guest make a request and you will have to decline or approve it and then manually send the payment link to the guest
- automatic: declining or approval is automated following the rules and conditions. If approved, the guest will receive the payment link automatically. Choose to enable a daily limit for approved requests if necessary
- Select option to automatically cancel unpaid requests
- Select the time range (in days and/or hours) during which the guest can make a request
- Select the offices which this rule can be applied. N.B.: only offices with the same currency can be selected within the same rule. Please create one rule per currency.
- Disable the option to check previous cleaning for early check-in, if needed
Click on save to create the upsell rule
N.B.: If you want to offer more than one upsell type to guests, make sure to create at least one rule per upsell type before moving on to next step.
Example for an early check-in
The minimum check-in time for the property is 4:00 PM, so the guest can:
- Request an early check-in starting from 4 days before arrival until 12:00 PM on the day of arrival.
- Arrive early at 3:00 PM, in which case they will pay €10
- Arrive early at 2:00 PM, in which case they will pay €20
Create a configuration
On the same page, go to Office set up tab
Click on + Create new
Select the office(s)
Select the rule you want for each upsell type
Click on save to create the configuration
Apply to existing properties
From the property page, click on Edit, then go Missions tab
In the Upselling section, select the configuration you want
Click on save to apply configuration to the property
If you wish to apply the upsells to all your properties at once, please contact the RentalReady support to apply them. Please specify the offices or properties and the configuration ID you want to apply.
