AI agents let you build your own assistants in RentalReady that carry out a task for you, on their own and on a schedule. Describe the task in plain language, give the agent the capabilities it needs and tell it when to run. It does the task, follows up on it, and asks for your approval before any sensitive action.
Build an agent by chatting with it
A conversational builder turns your description into a working agent. You can:
- Preview what the agent will do
- Test it on real data before it goes live
- Save it as a draft, activate it when ready, and pause it at any time
Capabilities
Each agent only has the capabilities you grant it. For example:
- Read reservations and reviews
- Draft and send messages to guests
- Create missions
- Create payment links on a reservation
- Read call centre records (calls by reason, missed calls, AI-answered calls)
- Generate charts and reports, and send emails
- Remember information between runs
Agents can also connect to external tools through MCP.
N.B.: An agent can only use a capability if its owner has the matching permission in RentalReady.
Triggers
An agent can run in three ways:
- On an event: a review comes in, a reservation is modified
- On a schedule: for example, every morning at 8:00
- Manually: whenever you start it
Agents can also schedule their own follow-ups. This is what makes them agents rather than simple automations.
Guardrails
- Any guest-facing message waits for your approval before it is sent, unless you enable auto-send for that agent. Auto-send has rate limits.
- Financial or destructive actions always require approval.
- Every action is logged.
- An emergency stop lets you halt an agent instantly.
Examples of agents you can build
💡 Here are a few agents the platform can already handle:
- Morning briefing: Every day at 8:00am, get a report on today's arrivals, ongoing issues, and unanswered messages in your inbox.
- Document expiry reminder: Keep track of documents with an expiration date.
-
Checklist reader: Automatically take action based on checklist results.
Credits & usage
AI agents work with a credit-based system. Each agent runs on a credit budget with its own limits (runs per hour, outgoing messages per day), so an agent can never consume credits unexpectedly.
You can follow credit usage per user and per agent from AI Suite > Credits.
