Once you've logged in to your WhatsApp account and registered your number, you'll be able to receive and send WhatsApp messages directly from the mailbox.
Receive messages
Known phone number
All messages sent from the WhatsApp application to one of the WhatsApp phone numbers you've added to RentalReady are displayed in the mailbox.
If the phone number from which the guest sent the WhatsApp message is linked to an existing reservation, then RentalReady will match the message in the conversation associated with that same reservation.
The sending method will be WhatsApp.
Unknown phone number
If a guest uses a phone number other than the one associated with the reservation to send you a message via WhatsApp, a new conversation will be created in the mailbox.
This new conversation will be displayed in the “Unknown” category.
N.B.: Please note that the property related to the unknown conversation is not relevant.
Unsupported messages
The WhatsApp API does not support certain types of message, such as polls or ephemeral messages.
If you receive a WhatsApp message of this type, RentalReady will display an error in the conversation instead of the message: “This message cannot be displayed because it is not supported by the WhatsApp API.”
Sending messages
RentalReady can only send messages to a phone number on WhatsApp from the mailbox if a message from that number has already been received in RentalReady.
You have 24h to reply to guest, after this delay, WhatsApp method will be hidden from mailbox conversation.
Welcome message
When a WhatsApp user opens the conversation with your phone number for the first time, you can choose to send them a welcome message and automatically start the conversation.
The default welcome message can be configured in RentalReady.
From the main menu, go to Configuration > WhatsApp > WhatsApp phone numbers
In the Actions column, click on ... > Edit
Add your message
Click on save to add the welcome message.
The welcome message must be activated in your Meta account.
Go to https://business.facebook.com/wa/manage/phone-numbers/ or to the phone number dashboard
Click on Activate
N.B.: The system supports both text messages and media (images, videos and files).
