Automated or manual deposits
Deposit requests can be either automated or managed manually.
Automated request
In the property page, go to Edit property > General
Select Swikly as charging method.
Select the charging rule automation:
- Always charge a security deposit: the system will request a security deposit for all the reservations
- Only charge security deposit for high risk reservation: the system will request a security deposit for all the reservations with a risk score higher than 60%
Select the platforms you want to exclude from the automated request.
N.B: at integration activation, RentalReady support team will select by default automated request for all non-Airbnb reservations with Swikly as charging method and always charge a security deposit as chraging rule. It will be applied on all your properties. You can override these settings at property level.
Manual request
The deposit request can be submitted via:
- Reservation details page
- Weekly view

Deposit management workflow
- The security deposit amount is defined at property level in in Edit property > Platforms
- A new reservation is imported into RentalReady
- The deposit is generated (automatically or manually) with the reservation deposit amount set by default at property level
- The Swikly deposit payment link is automatically generated 7 days before guest arrival (this delay can be customized at office level). DEPOSIT_REQUEST template with the payment link is then sent to the guest
- The SELF_CHECK_IN or CHECKIN templates are not sent until the deposit is paid or manually cancelled
- The deposit is collected (the deposit amount is pre-authorised on the guest’s credit card)
- If no damage to property has been noticed at the end of the guest' stay, the deposit amount is released from the guest’s credit card 14 days after guest departure (this delay can be customized at office level)
