The affiliate program lets a partner refer a property and earn a commission, for a limited number of years after it is first published.
The affiliate user will have a dedicated RentalReady space to visualize all the properties he has referred, along with the corresponding monthly earnings. Additionally, the affiliate space offers the capability to conduct estimations for multiple properties.
Configuration
Step 1. Set up the affiliate program
General setup
The general setup is done at property manager level. Please contact RentalReady support and provide them these elements:
- Commission-based pricing from: expressed in a percentage. It is the starting rate shown to prospective owners on the affiliate revenue estimate. When that rate is 0, the commission block is hidden entirely
- Commission window: expressed in years. It is how long an affiliate keeps earning on a property they referred. By default, it's set up as 3 years.
- Default affiliate commission: expressed in a percentage. It is the commission earned by the affiliate, as a percentage of the property manager commission (it can be overriden per affiliate user)
- Referrals email: email address that will receive the referrals and is displayed on the affiliate space
Links setup
A Follow us on LinkedIn banner is displayed on the Affiliate space overview if you added a LinkedIn link in your direct booking website configuration.
Step 2. Create the affiliate
Once you got an Affiliate, you can create the Affiliate user.
Step 3. Create the property
Once you signed a new property from this affiliate, create the property as usual.
Step 4. Link affiliate and property
On the new property created, go to Edit
Go to General > Referral + affiliate program
Select the Affiliate
Click on save
The affiliate will now see the property in the affiliate space.
N.B.: The commission window counts from the publication date, not the date when you link the affiliate.
Step 5. Pay commision to affiliate
Earnings
On the affiliate space overview page, the affiliate can see the earnings generated by each property referred.
Invoices
Invoicing runs automatically on the 2nd of each month.
The affiliate can then upload his own invoice from the Overview page.
Payment
To retrieve the affiliate invoices they uploaded on their space
From the main menu, go to Finance > Invoicing > Affiliate invoices
On the last column Actions, click on ...
You have two options:
- Mark as paid/not paid
- Download invoice
N.B.: no money transaction is done within RentalReady. You must always pay the affiliate outside RentalReady.
Affiliate space
Overview
On the overview page, the affiliate can see their earnings, upload/download invoices and track the payments
Estimation tool
On the Estimates page, the affiliate can generate a revenue estimate PDF.
It is also possible to send it by email to the prospective owner.
Refer a property
On this page, the affiliate can fill a form to refer a property.
You will receive it in referrals: From the main menu go to Users > Referrals
